Quarantine Diary

British quartet step up Spring Carnival preparations

Melbourne Cup (Gr 1, 3200m) entrants Marmelo (Duke Of Marmalade), Magic Circle (Makfi) and Muntahaa (Dansili) went up Warren Hill twice, while Nakeeta (Sixties Icon) was the sole horse to have a spin around Side Hill’s all-weather gallop.

On Warren Hill, Marmelo and Magic Circle had an easy time of things upsides one another, with Muntahaa also having a relatively quiet time in behind as the trio went up a first time.

It was a different story second time up the hill as last-start Ebor Handicap (1m6f) winner Muntahaa led the string up in a notably faster piece of work, with Magic Circle and Marmelo again ridden more conservatively in behind.
