Big Sky three-quarter sister heads MM Online Sale
Podcast (Microphone), a three-quarter sister to unbeaten juvenile Big Sky (Bivouac) headlines the 41-lot Magic Millions Digital Sale, which is now open for bidding until February 11.
Podcast (Lot 41) is out of winning Red Dazzler (Red Ransom) mare Zoom By, herself a half-sister to Listed winner Firenza (Kenny’s Best Pal).
Trained by Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr, Big Sky has quickly established himself among the elite of the current two-year-old crop, sitting clear second favourite for the Blue Diamond Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) following an impressive victory in last week’s Chairman’s Stakes (Gr 3, 1000m) at Caulfield.
The MM Digital Sale has attracted strong support from a broad cross-section of vendors, including Archibald Racing, Baramul Stud, Bombora Downs, Jack Bruce Racing, Clarken Racing, Matthew Dale Racing, Darby Racing, Leneva Park, Lyndhurst Stud Farm, Morton Racing Stables, Munce Racing, Pearce Racing and the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott stable.
Among the other highlights are two share offerings from Archibald Racing, providing buyers with opportunities to invest in elite bloodstock. Lot 26 offers a five per cent share in First Base, a colt by international superstar sire Frankel (Galileo) and a half-brother to multiple Group 1 winner Nettoyer (Sebring).
Also from the Archibald draft is Zousika (Lot 30), a colt by Zoustar (Northern Meteor) out of Group winner and Group 1-placed mare Fasika (So You Think), with a ten per cent share available.
The catalogue also features a diverse mix of racehorses, race fillies, shares, two and three-year-olds, unbroken stock, yearlings and broodmares, with more than half the offerings set to sell unreserved.
Bidding is now open and will begin closing from 12pm (QLD time) on Wednesday, February 11. To view the catalogue, click here.
