Alex has worked in the Australian and New Zealand thoroughbred industry for nearly all of his professional career since graduating in 2016.
Having learned his trade as a journalist at the renowned racing news outlet the Racing Post, Alex went on to work in communications for leading syndicators and dual Everest winners Triple Crown Syndications.
Alex has been managing editor of ANZ Bloodstock News since May 2021, having previously held commercial roles within the business.

Charmein has been with ANZ Bloodstock News since May 2022. Prior to her joining, she was the Executive Officer for Thoroughbred Breeders Victoria, where she led and executed marketing campaigns, including TVC’s, through to brand campaigns, worked on strategic initiatives for the industry and worked on multi-million dollar projects for the industry.
Prior to this she worked for Racing Victoria as the Customer Manager and her career spans across large multi-nationals.
A breeder and owner herself, coupled with her experience and in-depth knowledge of the industry and in particular of thoroughbred marketing and strategy, Charmein is able to understand your needs in a comprehensive manner to ensure that you get the most out of every campaign.
Charmein holds an MBA and is a GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
