Zoustar share tops Inglis April (Late) Online Sale at $1.1 million
A share in champion sire Zoustar (Northern Meteor) topped the Inglis Digital April (Late) Online Sale which came to a conclusion on Wednesday, selling for $1.1 million.
Offered by Qatar Bloodstock, the share sold to Craig Rounsefell’s Boomer Bloodstock, acting on behalf of an undisclosed client.
“I’m always looking to bolster clients’ portfolios and thought this offering fitted the bill perfectly,’’ Rounsefell said.
“When we saw the listing on Inglis Digital last week we instantly knew we wanted to be really strong on it because I see it as a great investment and so did my client.
“Zoustar is such a fantastic stallion, he’s going to be right at the top for the foreseeable future and to be able to buy equity in him is really pleasing.
“It’s obviously a lot of money in anyone’s books but the process on Inglis Digital was so easy, I love the site, whether you’re buying or selling the Inglis team make it all so seamless every time.’’
The sale’s second-top lot was the dual winner and Group 2-placed three-year-old Yoshinobu (Written Tycoon), who was offered by his trainers Annabel Neasham and Rob Archibald on behalf of his owners.
He was purchased by Full Circle Racing for $180,000 and will remain in the Archibald-Neasham stable.
Another purchase of interest was the juvenile colt Mednyi (Capitalist), who was offered by his breeders Emirates Park and sold to Hong Kong’s Mr Liu Man Ho for $160,000.
In a sale that grossed $6,121,900, a total of eight lots realised $100,000 or more. Entries are now open for the May (Early) Sale, which will run from May 9-14.
