Lovatsville announce unaltered 2025 fees

Following the announcement of Group 1-winning two-year-old Move To Strike (I Am Invincible), Lovatsville has announced the 2025 fees for the rest of its roster, with Royal Meeting (Invincible Spirit), Fierce Impact (Deep Impact), Generation (Snitzel) and Gold Trip (Outstrip) all remaining unchanged.

“We are conscious that times are tough and we need to support each other,” Lovatsville’s Sam White said. “Small breeders are the backbone of the game, and our attitude towards business is reflective of that understanding. We want everyone to win.”

Sire of brilliant Blue Diamond Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) winner Hayasugi, Royal Meeting covered his best book to date last year and remains at a fee of $22,000 (all fees inc. GST).

“His fee remains the same because he’s had a two-year-old Group 1 winner in his first crop, which is difficult to achieve,” White said. “He’s shown he can do it and has more to follow in the coming months. Like all of our established horses however, we are open to doing deals with clients to assist in the economic climate.”

Fierce Impact’s second-season stock are averaging $90,000 at the sales, realising up to $400,000 at the Inglis Easter, and he remains at a value fee of $13,750.

“Fierce Impact is a horse we have a lot of faith in,” White said. “No one expected them to be early two-year-old sorts, but from only a handful of runners he’s had the winning and black-type performer Zelia, as well as Fine Star who was fourth on debut in a Listed race, and Matt Smith’s Fierceness ran fourth on debut at Canterbury and that race has Group 1 Sires Produce form around it.”

The first foal from triple stakes-winning two-year-old Fontiton (Turffontein) and an undefeated juvenile himself, the Group 1-placed Generation joined the roster last year and remains at his introductory fee of $11,000.

“If he produces horses that look like himself, we’ll see continued support because he has the capability of producing the types of horses that the market wants: fast, sexy, sleek-looking racehorses with a commercial flavour to them,” White said.

“I think it’s also important to note that Ciaron Maher has taken a stake in Generation as he believes that horses like him stand as good a chance as any to be the next Vinnie, Written [Tycoon] or Tassort – fingers crossed.”

The roster is completed by 2022 Melbourne Cup (Gr 1, 3200m) winner Gold Trip at $8,800.

“He’s got the looks, the attitude, and we know he had the performance,” White said.

“As a three-year-old he ran an amazing fourth in the Arc, where he looked like the winner in the straight. I struggle to think of a local three-year-old who could produce that kind of performance at that level, yet you can access him at a fraction of a price of his contemporaries.”
