Condor Heroes was a late scratching from the Pago Pago Stakes (Gr 3, 1200m) at Rosehill on 11 March after he bolted on the way to the gates, but the two-year-old colt redeemed himself with an impressive first win from two starts, following a promising debut second in the Breeders’ Plate (Listed, 1000m) at Randwick on 1 October.

The son of Not A Single Doubt (Redoute’s Choice) was smarty away under Mark Zahra from the outside barrier in the seven-runner field and went straight to the front. After travelling a bit keenly in the lead, he then fought back strongly, going on to score comfortably by a length in a time of 1:06.64 on a Heavy 9 track.

The two-year-old colt is the third foal out of the juvenile winning More Than Ready (Southern Halo) mare Gosetgo, and of the three named foals to race two have been winners.

Gosetgo, herself is a half-sister to the Listed-placed mare Loftily (Shovhog) and the dam of the Group Two-placed gelding Get That Jive (Street Sense).

In 2015 Gosetgo foaled a colt by the Vinery Stud-based All Too Hard (Casino Prince), before producing a filly by Not A Single Doubt (Redoute’s Choice) and was served by the Arrowfield-based stallion for a third time on 21 November 2016.
