Tulip scored an impressive debut victory and provided her Coolmore Australia-based first season sire Pierro (Lonhro) with his first winner. Under Craig Williams the filly jumped from barrier six in the seven-horse field and then settled down in last position where she remained until the home turn. Williams took Tulip widest of all around the home turn and on straightening she quickened up impressively to score an easy a one and three quarter length victory.

Tulip is out of the Group Three-winning mare Musidora (Rock Of Gibraltar) who has now produced four winners from four foals to race including the Group Three winner Sacred Eye (High Chaparral). Tulip’s second dam is Nice Dancing (Bering) who raced twice and produced seven winners including the stakes-placed pair Outsourcing (Alwuhush) and Etruscan King (King Of Kings).

Meanwhile the filly’s third dam is the multiple Listed winner Grand Luxe (Sir Ivor) and this is from the further family of Group One winners and sires Flying Spur (Danehill) and Encosta De Lago (Fairy King).
